Hindu festival commemorating the Vamana avatar of Vishnu, the homecoming of the legendary emperor Mahabali and mythologies of Hinduism related to Kashyapa and Parashurama. It is a harvest festival also celebrated by non Hindus in Kerala and celebrations include dances, worship, music, martial arts and flower arrangements
